Diana Alshakhanbeh
Little Sunny Kitchen
My name is Diana, and I started Little Sunny Kitchen in 2013 with one simple goal: to create a space for people to find reliable, tested recipes that bring joy to their kitchens. Over the past 10 years, I have had the privilege of connecting with so many different people from all over the world who have made my recipes a part of their lives.
Each recipe is a labor of love. From the initial idea to the testing and final publishing phase, I pour my heart into ensuring that every recipe is perfect and that I would proudly serve it to my family. Food isn’t just about fuel; it’s about sharing stories, traditions, and moments with those we care about.
One story that particularly touched my heart came from a reader named Lauren. She found my recipe for orange muffins while searching for soft foods that her grandmother, who had throat cancer surgery, could enjoy. Lauren shared how she bakes these muffins every week using oranges from her grandmother’s tree and eggs from their chickens. It’s become a special ritual for them, something they look forward to every Sunday. Knowing that my recipe has brought such comfort and joy to Lauren and her grandmother is the greatest reward I could ask for as a creator.
However, as much as I cherish these connections, I’m increasingly concerned about the rise of AI in the blogging world, especially in food blogging. While AI can generate recipes and content quickly, it lacks the personal touch and deep understanding that real creators bring to their work. The thought of AI-generated content overshadowing the hard work of human creators is troubling, not just because it could impact our search traffic and revenue but because it could dilute the authenticity that makes our blogs special. Simply put, AI-generated recipes do not always work; these recipes are not tested by real humans.
We, as humans and real creators, bring something irreplaceable to our readers: our stories, our passion, and our tested recipes that come from the heart. AI cannot replicate the experiences, the trials, and the love that go into each dish we share. I hope my readers will continue to value the real connections we’ve built and understand the importance of supporting human creators.
Signed with gratitude and a promise to always keep our recipes as real as our connections, Diana.
