Gina Homolka

Hi, I’m Gina Homolka from Skinnytaste. I started Skinnytaste in 2008 just for fun as I created healthier versions of dishes I grew up eating. Today, Skinnytaste reaches millions, and I’ve been fortunate to publish 7 New York Times Best Selling Cookbooks. I feel incredibly lucky to do what I love every day. From the beginning, I’ve always asked my followers what recipes they wanted me to make healthier, and I continue to do that. Some are family recipes they’ve made for years, and I help tweak them to be healthier. Others are indulgent dishes that challenge me, requiring multiple tests, but I love delivering a dish that brings them joy.

What inspires me most is meeting fans on book tours. They share their health and weight loss stories, bring me cards and letters, and sometimes their family, telling me which recipes they love the most. Many have learned to cook with my recipes, and it’s been amazing to watch them grow alongside me and my kids. Hearing their stories and meeting them in person always touches my heart. I love connecting with Skinnytaste fans!

Many doctors and nutritionists recommend Skinnytaste recipes to patients working on their health, whether it’s for managing high cholesterol or other health concerns. They trust my recipes to be both healthy and reliable, as they’ve been tested repeatedly to ensure they work.

With AI now creating recipes scraped from various sites, there’s no testing or guarantee that the recipes actually work or taste good. My hope is that we don’t lose the human connection in the process and that AI can assist in ways that benefit us all.

There’s no substitute for real human connection. I hope to continue inspiring and helping people—let’s keep it real!
